MUSIC FOR VIOLIN
Schumann, Satie and Debussy arranged by Fenella Humphreys
These arrangements were borne out of the first Covid-19 lockdown. Stuck having to make music on my own for so many months, I found myself missing good tunes, and missing being able to play some of my most beloved composers. The unaccompanied violin repertoire is wonderful, but there is very little in the middle between Baroque and 20th Century, so I gradually began arranging piano music that I was enjoying listening to, which I thought could fit on solo violin and still make musical sense. These are three pieces that I recorded for my Homemade Concert livestream series. FH
